BIGGER AND BETTER IN 2005
A SPOKANE running tradition for over 20 years, the Sundae Sunday 10 Miler is the premier late summer distance event for runners and walkers. This year's edition will offer special custom awards and prize money to Men and Women's Open and Master's winners($100 First, $50 Second, and $25 Third Place, and an additional $100 to record-setters in all four categories) as well as better than ever finish festivities!
THE COURSE:
The race begins at Joe Albi Stadium on Spokane's north side, and continues down Northwest Boulevard to Meenach Drive, where after a steep downhill, the course winds north along the Spokane River on Downriver Drive, through scenic Riverside State Park.
Mile 3 through 8 follow the Spokane River through Riverside State Park to Rifle Club Road and a short climb up to Assembly Ave.,where winded runners will sprint the last half-mile back into Joe Albi Stadium. Waiting beyond the cheering onlookers and finish chutes will be the race's trademark Blue Bunny ice cream sundae reward. Question? Email: info@sundaesunday.com |
